The ‘sci­en­tif­ic com­mu­ni­ty’ keep­ing itself in a job. bq. “The main func­tion of the sci­en­tif­ic com­mu­ni­ty is … main­tain­ing the com­mu­ni­ty. (It) does­n’t want to give any one per­son a lot of money”
