Market Access Matters

The Australian National Farmers’ Federation has released a pamphlet entitled ‘Market Access Matters’ that I wrote on their behalf. It summarizes a number of arguments for developing countries to support an ambitious agreement to liberalize markets for agricultural products. You can download a copy of the pamphlet “here(link to pdf file)”:–110.pdf bq. Launching the report: “Why Market Access Reforms Matter”, commissioned by the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation (RIRDC), NFF President, Mr Peter Corish said the research demonstrated why market access was so important to the current Doha Round of WTO negotiations. The report outlines why market access reforms deliver the biggest impact from trade liberalisation and why tariff cuts are needed in developing and not just developed country markets,” Mr Corish said.
