I’ve been up to a variety of different things for clients in the past few days some of which, but not all, I’ll describe later. One thing that is in the public domain, is my first contribution to the “Wikipedia(link to the Wikipedia site)”:http://www.wikipedia.com/: an article on the topic of “geographical indications”:http://www.wikipedia.com/wiki/Geographical_indications_law I’ve been surprised to learn that even legal academics with an interest in IP rights (e.g. “Kim Weatherall(link to Weatherall’s Law site)”:http://weatherall.blogspot.com/2003_09_01_weatherall_archive.html#106463192935636056) haven’t paid much attention to this issue in the past. The Wikipedia seems like one way to address the information deficit. Alternately, its a way of absorbing two hours that you really should have devoted to that report for clients you promised would be finished a week ago.
